Leap Frog

Despite the oldest known fossil of the "proto-frog" Triadobatrachus dating back to the Early Triassic period, molecular research suggests that frogs split from other amphibians as far back as 265 million years ago! In many species, only male frogs will produce vocalizations, and species have distinct calls with different dialects depending on the region.
